1. Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration in Evidence at ABRAVA
The Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration National Departments of ABRAVA gathered at the association’s headquarters and set new goals and objectives for the sectors represented. Company representatives from Johnson Controls (JCI), Mayekawa do Brazil, Danfoss Brazil, Imbera Evapco, Emerson Climate Technologies and Bitzer, participated in the meeting.

2. ebm-papst to Rack up Even More Sales through Honed Technologies
During Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) held in Italy in March 2018, JARN interviewed Thomas Borst, managing director, Sales and Marketing, ebm-papst. Responding to a question about the company’s business performance in 2017, Thomas Borst was delighted to highlight that ebm-papst is expected to achieve a milestone result with €2 billion (US$ 2.4 billion) revenue, an increase of more than €100 million (US$ 118 million) from 2016.

3. ISH China Shows Clean Heating Technology
ISH China & CIHE is Asia’s leading trading platform in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry by concluding with a record-breaking scale on May 24. Jointly organized by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) and Beijing B&D Tiger Exhibition, the three-day event successfully hosted 1,300 exhibitors and welcomed 70,202 visitors, a 13.9% increase compared to 2017.

4. Naci Sahin Elected as New President of the Eurovent Association
During the Eurovent Annual Meeting in Oslo, members have confirmed Naci Sahin as their new president. The managing director of the Turkish company Friterm has been member of the Eurovent Board of Directors since 2011 and succeeds Alex Rasmussen.

5. Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US Now Serving Ductless Customers
On May 18, 2018, Mitsubishi Electric and Ingersoll Rand announced that its joint venture (JV) is now operating and serving customers. The systems sold by the JV are highly efficient, variable-speed mini-split, multi-split, and VRF air conditioners and heat pumps for homes, light commercial and commercial applications.
