2.10 Latin American & Caribbean Region

The Latin American and Caribbean region experienced its fourth consecutive year of growth in 2006. The economic growth rate was about 5.3% this year, which means that the Latin American and Caribbean region has marked a third consecutive year of growth at over 4%. Thus, the region has again performed well in comparison with past periods.
