According to data from China Customs, the number of air conditioners manufactured by Chinese and Korean companies and exported from China to Africa reached 2.3 million units in 2011, or year-on-year growth of 21%. In the first half of 2012, exports increased sharply again, with year-on-year growth of 70%.
