Air Conditioner Sales Slackens in May

On June 19, the Japan Electrical Manufacturers’ Association (JEMA) announced the value of domestic shipments of household electric appliances (so-called ‘white goods’). According to JEMA, the value of domestic shipments in May accounted for \168.9 billion, down 5.7% from the same month of the previous year.
