The general economic indicators for 2016 show a positive trend in almost every economic area of Spain. The gross domestic product (GDP) has not changed since 2015. The overall consumer price index (CPI) increased from 0% to 1.6% and the unemployment rate decreased from 20.9% to 18.6%.
