Large Heat Pumps in Europe: Vienna district heating

A high-temperature heat pump is used to boost the capacity of the city’s district heating system. Vienna is the capital and largest city of Austria with a population of about 1.8 million people. One third of all residences in Vienna are supplied by district heating.
