NEDO to Set Up Safety and Risks of Next-Generation Refrigerants Method

In line with the Paris Agreement or Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants became subject to restrictions. In the future, it may become impossible to use refrigerants that are currently authorized for use. In Japan, therefore, it is urgently needed to develop refrigerants with a lower greenhouse effect than in the past and also to develop types of equipment that can apply these refrigerants.
