On August 3, 2018, CEPAL released the 2017 Latin America and Caribbean Area Economic Report. According to the report, in a context of slow economic recovery in the world, the Latin America and Caribbean Area saw slight economic growth of 1.1% in 2017 after having experienced an economic recession for two consecutive years.
