Daikin Acquires Austrian Refrigerating and Freezing Showcases Manufacturer AHT

Daikin has reached an agreement for the acquisition of Austria-based AHT Group, a leading company in the commercial refrigeration market in Europe.  The transaction value is € 881 million (about US$ 999 million). Through its subsidiary Daikin Europe headquartered in Belgium, Daikin will obtain all company shares from UK-based Bridgepoint, the private equity shareholder of AHT Group. Completion of the acquisition is planned for January 2019 after conclusion of all necessary procedures.
