Rotary compressors are widely used in air conditioners and air- source heat pumps (ASHPs). When the air conditioner compressor is in operation, its capacity, exhaust pressure, power consumption, and efficiency vary with changes in the outdoor temperature and the indoor load. When ASHPs are used in cold climates, heat dissipation of the room increases, requiring the heat pump to provide more heat.
