1. New Energy Unveils New Production Base to Double Its Production Capacity
As one leading market player, Guangdong New Energy Technology Development has been dedicated to development, production, sales, and service of new energy products such as heat pumps for water heating, space heating, and commercial use. In August 2016, New Energy started the production base project in Zeng Cheng, Guangzhou, with a total investment of RMB 1 billion (US$ 145 million). On June 26, 2019, New Energy held a grand opening ceremony of its new headquarters building, inviting more than 200 guests. This new production base will enhance the company’s annual production capacity to 2 million units, with each heat pump rolling off production line in every 4.32 seconds.

2. Honeywell and Midea Team Up to Validate New Applications
On June 26, 2019, Honeywell announced a strategic partnership with Midea Group to replace R410A with Solstice N41 (R466A) in HVAC applications, including variable refrigerant flow (VRF) and chiller systems. R466A is a nonflammable and lower global-warming-potential (GWP) refrigerant for stationary air conditioning systems.

3. Danfoss Manufactures Record Size Modular Heating Station
The Danfoss factory near Moscow recently produced its biggest modular heating station. This station will provide heat to over 50 facilities in Astrakhan including residential buildings up to 10 floors, schools, and kindergartens. The modular design of the heating station ensures maximum energy efficiency of the district heating systems connected to the urban heating network and minimizes the area under the boiler house located among the residential buildings.

5. Fujitsu General Starts Operation of ICC to Accelerate Creation of New Values
Fujitsu General has constructed an Innovation & Communication Center (ICC) on the premises of its head office, which serves as a development base where synergy between the sections inside the company and open innovation with partner firms outside the company are promoted and new values are created through innovative manufacturing. Completed on June 12, the ICC started operation in July.
