China Constructing Ice Arena with CO2 Transcritical Direct Cooling

The Capital Gymnasium Comprehensive Training Hall was approved as part of the first batch of construction projects for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing. With a total construction area of 33,200 m2, the comprehensive training hall will have two ice rinks meeting international competition standards, which can also be turned into professional competition venues for short track speed skating, ice hockey, and curling, achieving fast conversion of multi-functional competition venues for higher application efficiency.
