Japan’s MaxValu Supermarket Adopts Honeywell’s Solstice N40

On October 10, Honeywell announced that it s Solstice N40 (R448A) refrigerant has been adopted by a discount supermarket operated by MaxValu Nishinihon, a leading retailer in Japan. The adoption by ‘The Big’ Kamogata Store in Okayama is part of the store’s reno- vation project to replace its existing refrigerated display case system and condensing unit using R22 refrigerant, a hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC), production of which will cease in Japan in 2020.
