The Australian Bureau of Statistics recently announced that Australia’s economy grew by 1.9% in 2018-2019, down from 2.9% the previous year. Household consumption was restrained, with annual growth of 1.9%, growth of discretionary spending slowed down, while basic spending remained moderate.
