2. Eurovent Market Intelligence Begins 26th Annual Data Gathering
On January 6, 2020, Eurovent Market Intelligence (EMI) began its latest annual data collection, which has been providing manufacturers with information on the European HVAC sector market since 1994. With more than 300 manufacturers and 15 products, and representativeness rates often exceeding 80%, the statistical branch of Eurovent has become the benchmark for HVAC market data.

3. China’s Magnetic-Bearing Chillers Helping Green Development
According to China Central Air Conditioner Market report, there are 32 brands in China that have launched magnetic-bearing chillers. Some other statistics indicate that China’s magnetic-bearing inverter centrifugal chillers have seen year-on-year sales growth of 42% in 2018 on a volume basis, representing a 24.5% global market share.

4. Turkey Starts Project Designed to Encourage Low-GWP Refrigerants
United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Soğutma Sanayii İş Adamları Derneği (SOSİAD) – Turkish association of refrigeration industry and businessmen – signed a contract to jointly carry out the project titled‘Demonstration and Pilot Activities for Encouraging Low-Global Warming Potential (GWP) Refrigerants in the Republic of Turkey’. The aim of the project is to raise awareness and encourage the use of low-GWP refrigerants in Turkey

5. Daikin Starts New Business Model Demonstration in Tanzania with Wassha
Daikin has begun a demonstration in the United Republic of Tanzania for a new business model with Wassha, a company using Internet of Things (IoT) technology to develop an electrical power service business in nonelectrified areas of Africa. Wassha, a startup company associated with the University of Tokyo, is developing an electrical power service business through the rental of LED lanterns in non-electrified areas of the Sub-Saharan Africa region focusing on Tanzania.
