1. World Compressor Market in 2019 - Overview
In 2019, the global air conditioning compressor market, like the air conditioning market, has achieved good growth except in China, but the growth rate has decreased significantly. Great changes have taken place in the global food retail industry, which has promoted increasing demand for refrigeration compressors. As the most powerful driving force in the European market, heat pump technology is being deployed on an unprecedented scale in Europe and even the world, and the market development of compressors for heat pumps is accelerating.

2. The global rotary compressor market
The global rotary compressor market amounted to 174.94 million units, indicating 5.1% year-on-year
decrease in 2019. The rotary compressor market scale in 2019 by region amounted to 130.61 million units in China, 19.13 million units in Southeast Asia, 5.32 million units in India, 4.75 million units in Europe, 3.68 million units in Japan, 2.03 million units in the Middle East, 2.53 million units in Brazil, and 1.5 million units in the United States.

3. The global scroll compressors market
Overall, the global scroll compressor market continues to grow slowly. Demand for PACs and VRFs was flat compared with 2018. There seems to be a marked increase in demand for ATW heat pumps and refrigeration use. According to JARN, the global demand for scroll compressors showed 1.7% growth in 2019. As the world’s largest market, the United States indicated 5.1% growth, and China, as the world’s second-largest market, recorded a decrease of 8.4%. The European market with the exception of Turkey and Russia saw an increase of 4.8%, and Southeast Asia showed an increase with favorable demand for PACs.

4. The global screw compressor market
The global screw compressor market amounted to 129,100 units in 2019, demonstrating 2.5% year-on-
year increase. China, Europe, and the United States were the three big markets. Their market scales
in 2019 were 58,900 units, 23,900 units, and 22,800 units, respectively. India, Japan, and South Korea
followed. Screw compressors in different markets also have different characteristics. The European market showed strong demand for compressors with a large cooling tonnage, while small products were strong in the Southeast Asian market.
