Japan’s RAC Shipments Fell 8.2% in April

Due to shrinking economic activity caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Japan’s RAC shipments are still sluggish. According to JRAIA (the Japan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association), Japan’s RAC shipments in April amounted to 597,711 units, a decrease of 8.2% compared with the same period last year. However, shipments of air-purifiers increased by 71%, and shipments of humidifiers increased more than four-fold.
