1. China Accelerates Development of 5G VRFs
With China’s unique promotional conditions for 5G technology, some Chinese air conditioner manufacturers such as Haier and Hisense have taken the lead in applying 5G technology to their variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems. By fully incorporating big data and AI technologies to provide more comprehensive functions and high-quality services, such VRF systems bring users superior AI experiences.

2. UK-Based Food Factory Installs Panasonic CO2 Refrigeration System
Tanpopo Japanese Food, a UK based food wholesaler, has recently equipped its warehouse in Feltham, West London, with condensing units from the Panasonic CO2 Cold Chain range. For over 20 years, Tanpopo has been making and supplying sushi to catering companies, supermarkets, hotels, and event organizers across the United Kingdom. Tanpopo focuses on the use of renewable technology and reliability, and Panasonic’s Cold Chain commercial refrigeration range, which uses CO2, addresses the company’s frozen and chilled food storage refrigeration requirements at its new premises in Feltham.

3. Honeywell Places Importance on Safety of Refrigerants
At AHR Expo held in Orlando, at the beginning of February 2020, Honeywell introduced its new Solstice series products: N15 (R515B) and E-Cooling. Solstice N15 is a nonflammable (A1) and low-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant replacement for R134a for use in chillers and heat pumps that will be commercially available this year. With a GWP of 299, Solstice N15 is an environmentally preferable, energy-efficient, and safe alternative to higher GWP solutions that do not fully address long-term efficiency and GWP requirements.

4. Hot Weather in South Vietnam Stimulates Online AC Sales
As South Vietnam enters the end of the dry season, the hottest period of the year, online air conditioner sales have become vibrant due to pent up demand from consumers’ reluctance to visit retail stores during the pandemic. According to VnExpress, a local commercial newspaper, the Vietnamese e-commerce platform Tiki expected that, with product readiness and promotional programs, the sales volume of air conditioners might increase by over 60% compared with the same period last year.

5. thermofin Coolers for a Danish Meat Processing Plant in China
thermofin is a global leading manufacturer of finned heat exchangers, and was founded in 2002 by Bernd Löffler in Heinsdorfergrund, Germany. Its product range includes evaporators, condensers, air coolers, dry coolers, and heat exchanger coils. In 2018, thermofin opened its first plant in China, primarily to contribute to and support businesses and communications in the Asian and Australian markets. As one of such business examples, thermofin provided its coolers to a meat processing plant in China established by Denmark-based Danish Crown group.
