1. Hisensehitachi Talks about the Keys to Success of Its VRF Business

2. Daikin Strengthens Production and R&D Capacity in Germany
Daikin Europe is strengthening its presence in Germany. The existing Rotex site will be operated within the network of Daikin Europe factories. Daikin Europe is set to increase the production and research and development (R&D) capacity of its factory in Germany within 2020. By strengthening its presence in Germany in general and at the Rotex site in particular, Daikin is positioning itself as a leader in the European HVAC industry.

3. Danfoss Releases World’s Smallest EEV for small AC and IT Cooling
Danfoss has unveiled what is believed to be the world’s smallest electronic expansion valve (EEV), a mini EEV for small air conditioner and computer room air conditioner (CRAC) units. Developed in response to market demand for quieter unit operation and greater reliability, the Danfoss ETS 5M is significantly smaller and lighter than the next best alternatives — giving OEMs the opportunity to create compact system designs or replace in existing systems.

4. Evergreen Line Shipping Company Adds 2,000 PrimeLINE Units to Fleet
Taiwan-based shipping company Evergreen Line recently added 2,000 Carrier Transicold PrimeLINE units to its refrigerated container fleet, citing industry-leading energy efficiency and reliability of the model.
“Our PrimeLINE units have been the bestselling model for 13 years and have a strong following due to their reliability and energy efficiency, which remains Evergreen Line’s preferred option to offer their customers the most sustainable solutions,” said Andrew See, general manager, Global Container Refrigeration, Greater China, Carrier Transicold.

5. Sanhua Introduces OPTIFlow Microchannel Heat Exchanger
“The OPTIFlow coil can improve heat exchanger efficiency by 13% for the outdoor unit and 5% for the indoor unit, compared with traditional fin-and-tube heat exchanger designs, under the same operating conditions. The refrigerant charge is also reduced by 30 and 15%, respectively. Furthermore, its unique structure can meet the dual-circuit system design challenges with a single microchannel heat exchanger, which achieves higher performance and over 50% lighter weight than the intertwined fin-and-tube heat exchanger,” said Dr. Qiang Gao, vice president of Engineering at SANHUAMC.
