1. GEA Bock CO2 Compressor Sets Milestone for Industrial Refrigeration
The new generation of subcritical compressor GEA Bock HGX44e CO2 sets a milestone especially for industrial low-temperature applications in cold stores and in the food industry. Its main advantage is a minimum 6% higher CO2 compressor efficiency compared to customary compressors on the market. “This allows operating costs to be significantly reduced,” says Manuel Fröschle, product manager of Natural Refrigerants at GEA Bock.

2. Japanese Manufacturers Contributing to Creation of Healthy Air Environments
In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, indoor air quality is attracting more attention in Japan too. To address pandemic-related needs, Japanese manufacturers offer room air conditioners (RACs) adopting various air purifying and disinfect functions.

3. Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS) M-Series SUZ Universal Outdoor Unit Available with H2i Technology
On June 8, 2020, METUS announced the expansion of the SUZ universal outdoor unit to include Hyper- Heating Inverter (H2i) technology. Available in 9,000, 12,000, 15,000, and 18,000 BTU/h capacities, the SUZ with H2i technology delivers indoor comfort in extreme cold weather conditions, maintaining performance at outdoor temperatures as low as –13°F (–25°C). At an outdoor temperature of 5°F (–15°C), the system is designed to deliver up to 100% of its rated heating capacity.

4. New Energy Builds Super-large ATW Centralized Heating Project
As a super large centralized heating project, the Zhao County ATW project is regarded as a significant reference for the industry in terms of system design, noise reduction, and installation techniques. In an area covering over 4 million m2 with more than 40 heat source stations, New Energy’s 1,200 units of 60 hp ATW heat pumps were installed, offering comfortable, safe, cleaning heating for over 600,000 residents in Zhao County.

5. Rotary Compressor Export Grows Beyond Expectation in 1Q of 2020
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic in China, the domestic sales of rotary compressors was not satisfactory in the first quarter of 2020. However, export sales achieved growth well beyond expectations. According to ChinaIOL.com, the export of rotary compressors approached 10.41 million units in the first quarter of 2020, increasing by 9.1% year on year, with a 32.5% year-on-year growth in March alone. However, domestic sales in the first quarter especially in March dropped by 30.1% and 25.8% year on year, respectively.
