MHI Receives Highest "Eruboshi" Certification as a Company that Promotes Women’s Participation and Advancement in the Workplace

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) was awarded 3-star Eruboshi ("L-Star," for Labor Star) certification, the highest grade, by the Japanese Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare for its superior contribution to the empowerment of female employees in line with the national Act on Promotion of Women’s Participation and Advancement in the Workplace. The 3-star designation signifies that MHI satisfies the criteria in all five categories assessing how well workplaces enable women employees to fully manifest their abilities. The five categories are recruitment, continued employment, working hours, proportion of women in managerial positions, and diversity of career courses.
