MHI RACs Reduce Airborne VirusesConfirmed by JFRL Tests
2020-08-16
On June 23, 2020, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems (MHI Thermal Systems), confirmed that its 2020 room air conditioner (RAC) models with air cleaning functionality (bio-clear filter and nano-mist ion generation) are effective in reducing airborne viruses, bacteria, and mold. MHI Thermal Systems contracted Japan Food Research Laboratories (JFRL) to conduct verification testing compliant with the test standards of the Japan Electrical Manufacturers’ Association (JEMA). MHI Thermal Systems will take advantage of this report verifying favorable air cleaning performance to expand sales of its RACs.
