World’s first smart fossil-free island deploys Hitachi ABB Power Grids’ solution

Hitachi ABB Power Grids’ battery energy storage technology is used in Porto Santo, to support the integration of renewable energy into the island gridZurich, August 24, 2020-Hitachi  ABB  Power  Grids  has  teamed  up with  Groupe  Renault  to  give  EV  batteries  a  new  lease  of  life  and  support  the  integration  of  renewable energy into the grid, as part of the ‘Sustainable Porto Santo’ initiative.
