Kimura Kohki Advocates Future ACs Utilizing Hue-Heat Effect

In 1972, about 50 years ago, professor Corwin A. Bennett and professor Paule Rey published a report titled ‘What’s so hot about red?’ focusing on the hue-heat effect in Human Factors magazine in the United States. The hue-heat effect is a theory according to which the hue affects the perceived temperature. In fact, it has been confirmed by research institutes in various countries that people actually feel cool when moving from a room lit with warm-colored lighting using a light bulb to a room lit with cold-colored lighting using a light emitting diode (LED), and vice versa.
