NEC and NTT Communications Develop World’s First Data Center Cooling System Using New Refrigerant

NEC and NTT Communications have developed and jointly tested a cooling system that uses R1224yd refrigerant for air conditioning of communications equipment in data centers. The results of their tests demonstrate that the new cooling system is able to reduce air conditioning power consumption by half compared with existing cooling systems.
