Sharp’s RAC Confirmed Effective in Collecting Airborne Virus Droplets

2020-11-16
In collaboration with Masashi Yamakawa, associate professor at the Kyoto Institute of Technology, an expert in the analysis of airborne virus droplets, Sharp performed a simulation of the effect of air conditioner airflow on airborne virus droplets in a living space. As a result, it was verified that Sharp’s Airest air conditioner with a built-in air purifier which delivers Plasmacluster ions to the room effectively, can effectively trap airborne virus droplets compared with ordinary air conditioners. Also, by verifying Sharp’s air purifiers, similar results were obtained for their effectiveness.
