AHRI Staff Reviews Seasonal Efficiency Regulations Plan in MENA

Air conditioners in the region, rated as high-ambient temperature countries, consume by far the most electricity compared with all other equipment, up to 70% of overall energy consumption. To date, the focus has been on the establishment of minimum requirements for energy efficiency rating (EER) and to gradually raise them. Saudi Arabia recently moved to the next level of energy consumption, evaluation, and monitoring.
