Update To Business Tax Credits and Other Provisions in the American Rescue Plan

Earlier this month Congress passed the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan as an effort to continue recovery from the coronavirus pandemic and stimulate the economy as it reopens. Many of the headlines in the bill included $1,400 direct payments to Americans, extension of unemployment benefits, and additional funding for vaccine distribution. Also included in the bill were updates to some popular business programs like the Families First Paid Sick and Family Leave tax credits and the Employee Retention Tax Credit.
