Another Peak Year for Heat Pumps in Finland

Despite high sales figures in 2019 then the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, heat pump sales sustained buoyant growth in Finland in 2020. Over €600 million (US$ 716 million) were invested in over 100,000 heat pumps installed last year. A total of €6 billion (US$ 7.16 billion) has been invested in over one million heat pumps in Finland, primarily by houseowners. Heat pumps produce approximately 12 TWh of energy per year, and this figure is rising.
