1. Ultra Cleanroom Technology - Eye-catching Innovation from MayAir
Founded in Malaysia, MayAir has expanded rapidly as a Chinese brand with a strong focus on ultra-cleanroom technology that is attracting global attention. MayAir has a total of five production plants in China and Malaysia. In Nanjing, China, the company owns a 40,000-m2 research and development (R&D) and manufacturing center with nearly 100 R&D personnel.

2. AHRI International Committee Discusses New 2021 Priorities
AHRI is following multiple fronts for potential action from the new administration. One area yet to be determined is President Biden’s approach to trade policy, and AHRI is creating an advocacy plan to engage with his appointees on trade and tariff issues once they are confirmed. Another major development that could affect members is the Biden Administration’s plan to submit for ratification the Kigali Amendment, which was included in a package of climate change-related executive orders.

3. Daikin Holds Virtual Study Session on Spread of Heat Pump Heating in Europe
Daikin Europe held the eighth Environmental Study Session virtually, under the theme of ‘Spread of heat pump heating and its environmental contribution in Europe – Based on the latest trends in EU environmental policy’. In the European heat pump heating market, Daikin achieved the top share in 2019.  This achievement is largely thanks to Daikin’s rich product lineups tailored to demand in each country and region in Europe with diverse climates and cultures.

4. ENGIE Refrigeration Bets on Sustainable Refrigerant
ENGIE Refrigeration has added a new refrigerant to its portfolio. R515B is now available for Quantum chillers as an alternative to R1234ze. R515B is eco-friendly, non-toxic and non-combustible, and is thus especially safe. ENGIE Refrigeration is one of the first manufacturers in the world to use the refrigerant R515B.

5. Capitalizing on R&D, Turkish HVAC&R Sector Maintains Growth
With continuously increasing export volumes that were achieved by the empowerment of research and development (R&D) and innovation work, the fully developed Turkish HVAC&R sector keeps producing innovative and environmentally friendly products and reaching out to the right places and markets around the world. The Turkish HVAC&R sector recorded an export value of US$ 4.66 billion as of the end of 2020. A total export value of US$ 489 million was recorded in December 2020, making it the most successful month ever for exports.
