Copper Prices Rise, Mainly Due to Financial Factors

During the Chinese Spring Festival in the middle of February 2021, the price of copper began a steep rise. As of February 22, Shanghai market’s copper contract values for April broke RMB 67,000/ton (US$ 10,300/ton), reaching its highest point in more than nine years.
