Hitachi ABB Power Grids to boost efficiency of Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company’s (EETC) Delta Zone network

Zurich, September 21, 2021 – A consortium comprising Hitachi ABB Power Grids and Elsewedy Electric T&D, a subsidiary of Elsewedy Electric has been appointed by state-owned Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) to establish the new Delta Zone Regional Control Centre (DRCC). The goal of the DRCC, located at Mansoura City in the Delta region, North Egypt, is to improve the reliability and efficiency of the electricity network in the region and contribute to country’s economic development and sustainability goals.
