Daikin Applied Changing to Deliver More Comprehensive Solutions

JARN interviewed Michael Schwartz, chief executive officer (CEO), Daikin Applied Americas, to hear about the Daikin’s develop ment and production system as well as product and refrigerant strategies in the United States and also on the global stage.

Michael Schwartz (S): The chairman is nominated to serve for a year, and help align and codify positions that the association and its members have on critical issues. This currently includes issues such as improving indoor air quality (IAQ), a need greatly amplified by the pandemic, and following mandates to adopt lowerglobal warming potential (GWP) refrigerants to reduce hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), support environmental sustainability and decarbonization, and boost energy efficiency.
