Industry sources estimate the Indian market scale in 2020–2021 to be around 4,700 chillers (1,138,000 tons), recording a decline of about 9% over the previous year. In terms of value, the market scale was INR 18.4 billion (about US$ 239.2 million). These data include screw, centrifugal, scroll, reciprocating, and absorption chillers. They cover commercial applications, data centers, pharmaceutical plants, manufacturing facilities, and turbine inlet air cooling. Industrial chilling applications such as brine chilling as well as oil and gas facilities are not included in this estimate.（Please see Table 2 on page 24.)
