1. UK Household to Receive £5,000 for Heat Pump Heating
In late October this year, the UK government announced new subsidy policy totaling £450 million (about US$ 610 million) to facilitate the switch from gas boilers to heat pump heating equipment. For a three year period spanning April 2022 to March 2025, a total of 90,000 households in England and Wales will be reimbursed £5,000 (about US$ 6,800) per household, when the homeowner replaces a gas boiler with heat pump heating equipment.

2. JCI Celebrates 50th Anniversary of HVAC Manufacturing Facility
Johnson Controls (JCI) celebrated the 50th anniversary of the company’s commercial HVAC manufacturing plant in Norman, Oklahoma, the United States. The 900,000-ft2 (83,600-m2) facility, known as Johnson Controls Rooftop Center of Excellence, serves as the company’s flagship location for industry research, manufacturing and testing of commercial rooftop units.

3. Bitzer Adds Rotary Compressors to Its Lineup for China
JARN interviewed Rainer Große-Kracht, new vice chairman of the Executive Board and chief technology officer, and Martin Büchsel, chief sales and marketing officer, Bitzer, to hear about the company’s new plant for rotary compressors in China and other strategies on the global stage.

4. Casper, a New Star in Vietnamese AC Market
Casper has been recording favorable sales, becoming a new star among local RAC manufacturers such as Funiki, Nagakawa, and Sumikura. Casper achieved annual sales of 400,000 to 500,000 RACs. As a Thai company, Casper assembles RACs at its Thai factory using parts procured from China, then sells its RACs in the Thai and Vietnamese markets. The brand quickly developed and grew in the Vietnamese market within a few years, thanks to its excellent marketing policies.

5. DunAn Grows 2.8-fold in the First Three Quarters of 2021
The variable refrigerant flow (VRF) market in China has seen strong growth momentum, stimulating sales growth in its components industries. On October 26, DunAn Environment released its sales performance report for the first three quarters of this year, which showed a net profit of RMB 342 million (about US$ 53.4 million), growing by 2.8-fold. From January to September 30, DunAn Environment saw its heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC&R) components business grow by over 60%.
