Mitsubishi Electric: Indoor Air Quality

When we talk about indoor air quality (IAQ) we refer to the indoor air that we breathe in confined environments, such as homes, public and private offices, community facilities (hospitals, schools, offices, barracks, hotels, banks), environments intended for recreational and social activities (cinemas, bars, restaurants, shops, sports facilities), and means of transport. Indoor air consists of the external atmospheric air that enters the confined spaces through natural and/or artificial ventilation: here the oxygen present in the air is gradually consumed, while with human respiration and perspiration elements such as water vapor, carbon dioxide (CO₂) and various organic substances are introduced into it.
