Barbados releases a national strategy for sustainable cooling

The Caribbean island of Barbados released its national cooling strategy in September 2022, as the country experiences an increase in demand for air conditioners.
 
On World Ozone Day, 16 September 2022, the Barbados National Cooling Strategy was released to the public following its national approval in May 2022. This national cooling plan contains a comprehensive overview of the RAC market and its key stakeholders, projections on its growth and drivers, as well as a mapping of strategies that can be implemented to reduce energy use and emissions from the sector.
