Danfoss to Acquire Bockto Strengthen Natural Refrigerant Technology

Danfoss announced on October 10, 2022, its intent to acquire compressor manufacturer Bock, headquartered in Frickenhausen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, from Nord Holding, which is one of the leading private equity asset management companies in Germany. The acquisition procedures are expected to close early next spring.
Bock was founded in 1932 in Stuttgart, Germany, and grew into a global technology leader in the development of environmentally friendly, economical compressors, which serve mobile and stationary refrigeration systems in transport, buses, retail premises, logistics, storage facilities, and food processing. Today, the company has an existing workforce of around 350 compressor specialists worldwide and four manufacturing sites in Frickenhausen, Germany, Stribo, Czech Republic, Bangalore, India, and Suzhou, China.
