Launched in 2021 by the European Commission as part of the European Green Deal, the ‘Fit for 55’ package aims to cut greenhouse-gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030 in comparison with 1990 levels. The ultimate goal is to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.
