1. Carrier Advances Data Center Sustainability with Digital Lifecycle Solutions

2. HeatTransformers Raises €15 Million to Accelerate European HP Installation
HeatTransformers, a Netherlands-based company leading in the acceleration of heat pump installations, has raised €15 million (about US$ 16.5 million) in funding to cement its market-leading position in the Netherlands, scale up its workforce, and launch operations in Germany and the United Kingdom

3. Mainstream AC Brands Expected to Raise Prices in China
Ever since the copper price increases began, many home appliance manufacturers began announcing price increases; wall-mounted air conditioner prices rose by RMB 200 to 300 (about US$ 29.0 to 43.5), floor-standing air conditioner prices increased by RMB 300 to 500 (about US$ 43.5 to 72.5). Since January, heating and refrigeration component manufacturers have increased prices, and at the same time, leading heating and air conditioning brands have all announced price increases of between 4 and 11%. It is expected that the terminal retail price of residential air conditioners and heating will rise by 20 to 30% in the domestic market this year.

4. ebm-papst Completes New Chinese Headquarters
ebm-papst had commissioned the construction of a new local headquarters in China under the name ‘ONE Shanghai’ by the end of 2021. After completion of the 33,000 m² building complex in March, operations will now be gradually relocated there. Until now, ebm-papst China has been working at four locations in Shanghai. In addition to a headquarters with administrative departments, there is a separate production plant and two external warehouses.

5. Sharp’s New AC Plant Starts Production and Shipping in Indonesia
Sharp’s new Indonesian air conditioner plant, located at Sharp manufacturing and sales base P.T. Sharp Electronics Indonesia (SEID) in Karawang International Industrial City, Karawang Regency, started production at the beginning of April, and began shipments on April 12, 2023. The annual production capacity is up to 900,000 units, and capitalization is about ¥4 billion (about US$ 29.8 million).
