1. Epta Offers Optimal Conservation with Eurocryor
Epta specializes in commercial refrigeration with its brand Eurocryor, which is an optimal ally for food experts, offering refrigerated solutions designed to enhance fresh products best, combining a modern design and next-generation technologies, tailored to each food category. In the wide Eurocryor range, the Stili family stands out: this is a collection of refrigerated display cases (RDCs) to ‘stylishly’ furnish flagship and specialized stores, such as butcher shops, delis, fishmongers and patisseries.

2. Daikin Applied Launches Trailblazer HP Heat Pump Chiller in USA
On May 16, Daikin Applied announced the release of the Trailblazer HP air-to-water (ATW) heat pump chiller. The EWYQ heat pump model features both heating and cooling operation and has a capacity of 25 tons. It can be installed as a stand-alone unit or in a system of up to eight Trailblazer units. The Trailblazer HP is intended for commercial and industrial applications, including schools, commercial retail spaces, and office buildings. Its design offers simplified installation in both new construction and retrofits of existing buildings.

3. Clivet Inaugurates New European Hub in Milan-Bicocca
In May, Clivet opened its new European hub at the innovative, eco-sustainable SuperLab Bicocca in Milan. Located on the first floor of the ‘horizontal skyscraper’, the new Clivet headquarters is dedicated
to exporting the Italian brand and heat pump technology throughout Europe. Clivet’s expansion across Europe will also be supported by the construction in Feltre, Italy, of a new 30,000-m2 factory dedicated to the production of heat pumps, with 300 new employees to be hired during 2024.

4. AHRI Members Return to Washington, D.C.
On May 15 to 17, the AHRI Policy Symposium has held in Washington, D.C., the United States. More than 200 AHRI members joined association staff and industry colleagues gathered for the 2023 Policy Symposium. The Symposium offered attendees insights from key government officials, reporters, and others about energy and environmental policy issues, after which three busloads of AHRI members headed to Capitol Hill to meet with their representatives on topics ranging from the refrigerant transition to Department of Energy regulations to per-and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS), the Inflation Reduction Act, the debt ceiling, and more.

5. Jiangxi Supply and Distribution Cold Chain Logistics Park Begins Operations
Jiangxi supply and distribution cold chain logistics park began operations before the Labor Day holiday. It is the 14th distribution center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area ‘Vegetable Basket’ project. Boasting a total investment of RMB 1 billion (about US$ 143.8 million), the project includes cold storage areas of 48,000 m2 and a storage volume of 37,000 tons.
