Building upon a summary version released in May, this white paper details how Texas can mitigate electric reliability challenges during summer heat waves and major winter cold fronts. A series of potential measures to reduce peak demand are outlined, including incentives for energy-saving upgrades in residential and commercial buildings, and for shifting energy use to off-peak hours.
