Haier Speeds up Exploration in Africa

Haier entered the African market in 1998. Thanks to scorching weather, local residents create strong demand for cooling, which however was impeded by a shortage of electricity. In Africa, nearly half of the population have no access to power, and in some power-supplied regions, there are only 3 to 6 hours of power supply per day on the average.
