1. European Heat Pump Summit-A Lighthouse for the Heat Pump Industry
The European Heat Pump Summit (EHPS) was held in Nuremberg, Germany, on October 24 to 25, 2023. Along with many professionals from across the world, JARN also participated in this event. The EHPS 2023 was a successful event that demonstrated the importance and potential of heat pumps for addressing global climate challenges. The summit also showcased the latest research results and innovations in the field and provided a platform for knowledge transfer and networking among international heat pump experts.

2. AHR Expo Coming to Chicago at the Beginning of 2024
The next edition of AHR Expo will be held on January 22 to 24, 2024, at McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois, the United States. For this edition, more than 1,600 exhibitors, over 50,000 attendees, and more than 370 speakers are expected. AHR Expo brings together manufacturers and suppliers of all sizes and specialties to share ideas and showcase the future of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) technology.

3. Daikin Targets Top Position in European Heat Pump Heating Market
Daikin’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) business sales in Europe for fiscal year 2022 ending March 31, 2023, ranked second after the Americas among the group’s regional HVAC&R business sales. Daikin Europe, which is responsible for business in Europe, an important market for Daikin, and also the Middle East and Africa, held a grand 50th anniversary celebration in October 2023 in Belgium, where its headquarters is located. JARN was invited to attend a joint media interview, which was held in conjunction with the event, with Noriyuki Inoue, chairman of the Board and chief global group officer, and Masatsugu Minaka, member of the Board and senior executive officer, to hear about Daikin Europe’s achievements over the past 50 years and future strategies focusing on the heat pump heating business.

4. TCL AC Sets Sales Target of RMB 70 Billion in Five Years
From October 10 to 13, TCL Air-conditioner (TCL AC), a leader in the global air conditioning industry, successfully held the 2023 TCL AC Global Partners Conference with a theme ‘T+U, Make It Different’ at Shangri-La Hotel in Xi’an, China, with over 200 guests including JARN from all over the world. At the venue, TCL AC set up a display area for its products, in order to enable guests to gain an insight into TCL products.

5. Carrier to Enhance Investments in India by US$800 Million
U.S.-based Carrier is looking to ramp up investments in India, informed Chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) David Gitlin. Carrier has a strong supply chain and plans to increase it four-fold over the next five years. The company has a strong engineering and digital presence and it has plans to significantly expand that. “We have invested over US$ 1 billion in India over the last decade and we are going to increase that by US$ 800 million over the next five years. A lot of it is going to start with manufacturing,” said Mr. Gitlin.
