YORK’s New Screw Chiller with R1234ze & Expanded Training Programs

On November 2, Johnson Controls announced the launch of the YORK YVAA Style B air-cooled screw chiller with R1234ze refrigerant. This is the first air-cooled variable-speed drive screw chiller marketed in the United States that uses the hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) refrigerant R1234ze, which has a global warming potential (GWP) of 7 and zero ozone depletion potential (ODP). The chiller therefore meets the U. S. commitments to phase down the use of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) under the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol.
