1. Reshaping the U.S. Heating Market with Heat Pumps — Report on 2024 AHR Expo, Chicago
On January 22 to 24, 2024, AHR Expo, International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition, was held on a grand scale at McCormick Place in Chicago, the United States. The area around the stadium was covered with ice and snow, but the inside was steaming. At this hot venue, 1,875 exhibitors and 48,034 visitors from all over the world gathered. These exhibitors of cooling and heating systems as well as compressors and other core components showcased their new products. Among them, the most prominent key products were heat pumps. In addition, low-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants were another key feature.

3. LG Opens New Scroll Compressor Production Line in Mexico
LG Electronics has announced the opening of a new scroll compressor production line at its factory in Monterrey, Mexico. The new line bolsters LG’s scroll compressor manufacturing infrastructure, enabling the company to increase production of its acclaimed, eco-conscious solutions while creating a shorter supply chain for servicing customers across North America.

4. Panasonic and Innova Sign Capital and Business Alliance Agreement
Panasonic Heating & Ventilation A/C Company has signed a capital and business alliance agreement with Innova, an Italian manufacturer of hydronic systems, air quality and air conditioning equipment, with Panasonic acquiring 40% of Innova’s total shares issued.
