Daikin Applied (UK) supplied Basildon University Hospital in London with 2x air-cooled screw compressor chillers, equipped with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) technology and utilising HFO refrigerant. Installing these chillers aimed to improve temperature and humidity control, enhance cooling capacity, and reduce operating costs.
Recent government regulations have underscored the importance of hospital ventilation and cooling systems. The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre (CTC) at Basildon University Hospital has been updated to withstand future climate changes.
