Advancing Heat Pump Technologies: IIR Calls for Experts for Application of Heat Pumps in Electric Vehicles

Incorporating heat pump systems into electric vehicles (EVs) can significantly improve their thermal management. Many EVs are equipped with heat pumps, but there is great potential to improve their performance. Recently, the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) released news that they are setting up a Working Group on the thermal management systems for electric vehicles. Experts from different countries are invited to join. This movement aligns well with the Strategic Work Plan of the Technology Collaboration Programme on Heat Pumping Technologies (HPT TCP).
