Daikin Celebrates Its 100th Anniversary –Onward Forever with People-centered & Creative Destruction Management

One hundred years ago, Daikin was founded in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, as a small local factory with 15 people, which currently has grown into a leading air conditioning manufacturer with 125 production sites and about 100,000 group employees around the world. Its remarkable progress in the air conditioning industry is a notable example of successful management in Japan.
Daikin will celebrate its 100th anniversary this October. A commemorative ceremony to celebrate this milestone was held on May 21 at the Symphony Hall in Osaka City where the company’s headquarters is located.
