EPA Awards US$ 15M to Study HFC Reclamation and Destruction

On May 28, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that it was awarding HFC Reclaim and Innovative Destruction Grants to five recipients across the country. The grants are part of the Biden Administration’s push to tackle climate change by reclaiming and destroying hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and funded through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). They range from US$ 1.5 million to US$ 3.8 million, for a total of almost US$ 15 million in grants.
